This one is my own recommendation, and it's really on the basis of one poem: it's by Dannie Abse, and it's called Not Adlestrop. It's a parody of the very famous poem Adlestrop, and I think it's an absolute delight. Dannie Abse was a qualified doctor as well as being a poet, and many of his poems reflect his medical knowledge and experience, but Not Adlestrop isn't one of these - try it and see what you think.
