Poetry Happening Near You

Events for July just announced

There's all sorts happening again this month.

We're in a celebratory mood and it's festival season.  We've got poets out and about celebrating 'tell a joke day' during July.  Ben Davis is over in Bedworth and Spoz will be entertaining the good people of Stratford-upon-Avon.  Bard?  He probably will be.

Emilie Lauren Jones is helping with Coventry's search to find their next poet laureates.  There will be two free workshops happening to support people with their applications for that.

Heather Wastie and Kenton Samuels are limbering up their poetry muscles and getting into SHAPE for Sandwell libraries.  Look out for them both at the mobile library on July 15th at Sandwell Showground.  They'll be doing some Poetry on Demand.

And Emma Purshouse will be in Bilston also doing Poetry on Demand on 14th July to celebrate Black Country Day.  Head over and demand a free poem...and while your there grab some battered chips from Majors (they aren't free but they are delicious).

And of course there is still time to enter the Poetry on Loan Poetry Competition.  Theme of Refuge.  Full details on the competition page.  Check out our home page poem for inspiration.
