Poetry Happening Near You

April already!

A fantastic time was had by all at the Hollie McNish performances in Ludlow and Longton.

Hollie McNish was on fantastic form as she played two sell out gigs.  The first was at Ludlow Assembly Rooms for Shropshire Libraries on 22nd of March.  Hollie was supported by Steve Pottinger who was celebrating his birthday!  The second was at Longton Library for Stoke on Trent Libraries.  This took place on the 23rd of Marchy.  Here Hollie was supported by Nick Degg who had the audience laughing lots.  Hollie is such a giving performer and the audience loved her.  It was unsurprising that the queues to buy books and get them signed were long ones.

Of course, here at Poetry on Loan the big events are just as important as the smaller more intimate work we do across the libraries of the West Midlands.  You can see the full range of the sort of thing we get up to by going to the 'Poetry at your Library' tab and clicking through past events for each of the local authorities.

If your looking for things to do over Easter and throughout April then we've got FREE workshops for teen writers happening in Herefordshire and two gigs with Roy McFarlane to commemorate Stephen Lawrence Day.  New events are being requested and set up all the time, so do keep an eye on what we're up to.
